Whimsical Modern Low Country Wedding Day

Emma’s Driftwood Farm

Madison + Greg

From Greg’s evergreen, floral-lined tux to all of the intricate modern details, the Mulkey’s wedding was the kind you just absolutely need to SAVE to your dream wedding Pinterest board.

The Mulkey’s spring wedding day took place at a gorgeous private property nestled within Georgia’s low-country, Emma’s Driftwood Farm. We started the day with one of my personal favorite parts of a wedding day - capturing their details and the bride and groom getting ready. Watching these two get ready was so sweet cause you could feel the anticipation building up as they prepped for their first look and ceremony.

Madison came to me with a vision and wanted to have multiple first looks throughout their big day - one with her bridesmaids, one with her dad, and of course one with Greg. Each of them was so special and of course, I was a hot mess crying happy tears behind the camera. And on top of their sweet first look, Madison and Greg read private vows to one another - reliving some of their favorite memories and expressing nothing but sheer excitement for the rest of their wedding day. This led to some sweet private moments as soon-to-be Mr. & Mrs.

Pro Tip: If you’re looking for more moments to fill your wedding gallery - first looks are a great way to bump up that photo count and get even more photos with your people!

The Mulkey wedding was one where the energy was just infectious. Every last person that I came in contact with that day was set on ensuring that Madison and Greg felt showered with love and had the most incredible wedding day. The wedding party photos set the tone for the rest of the day nice and early making the rest of the day just such a JOY to capture.

The hanging live oak trees shadowed us as we made our way to their ceremony. This ceremony setup felt like a clip out of a movie and my heart was singing. I’m talking gorgeous florals, the perfect breeze, the whole nine - but I will say, Madison’s cathedral-length veil was the star of the show.

After the ceremony, I snuck away to capture some more portraits of the newly pronounced Mr. + Mrs. Mulkey. We made our way out to the dock at the venue for some cinematic wedding portraits right as the sun started to dip its way below the horizon. The way the colors looked this night was just so stunning and spoke to the charm and grace of Coastal Georgia.

If you know anything about me, my favorite part of any wedding day is the reception, and let me tell you, The Mulkeys and their crew can absolutely throw down! From having Chili’s as their caterer to the custom drink cups, awesome DJ, Madison’s fun and flirty reception look and glow stick dance party - it’s safe to say this reception was absolutely ICONIC. Just when I thought the night was over, Madison and Greg and their wedding party and remaining guests made their way over to the property’s pool for a pool jump exit that was an absolute RUSH to capture. Overall, G + M’s big day was so beautiful and full of so many incredible moments and it was an honor to share the day with their families and friends! Here’s to a lifetime of love and Chili’s dates for the Mulkeys!
